All the big pike pics I've seen are always in open water. I'm guessing the season closes in the winter?

In Norway it's lodd off icefishing, but some lake's are open, sow you can to boht.
A lott off big pik's in Norway is from icefishing.

I would think that the Scandinavian ice fishing scene is pretty prevalent. On the other hand, in most of Western Europe, they really don't build a lot of ice.
