Posts: 165 Location: Minnesota | What does everyone use to connect line to lures? Split rings or Snaps?? I have been toying with the idea of split rings. Other than it taking longer to change baits I can't see any other cons for split rings. Maybe it was just one of those errant thoughts. thanks for the input,, Dan

Location: Eau Claire,WI | On my favorite baits or very expensive ones,I use a direct heavy splt ring.On other lures I use a Stay Loc snap in size 5 or 6. Those fast tach connectors have yet to prove themselves to me, so I will remain true to what has worked for me.You can do a search and find a vid demonstration.they are pretty neat, just not for me...

Posts: 440 | I have been using some snaps called The Duke Snap. Absolutely incredible. I used the same 4 snaps all year last year without any issue. I am a bait changing freak at times too. The original Stay Loc usually lasts me a month tops. I fish from March to December. I am going to tie up 4 new ones this year but really can't see anything wrong with the ones from last year.
