I picked up two spools of this (60 lb) at gander mountain on clearance. Does anyone have any experience with this line? It seems pretty strong.

Spooled up a couple of rods last year with this stuff and had no complaints at all, strong ,and with stood abrasions well, and also found it easy to pick those back lashes out. Good stuff.

Yes! This is what I use, and since I'm a bit of an oddball and use a spinning reel, it is the best I've found. In their infinite wisdom, the manufacturer has quit making this stuff. I had to order it from their closeout warehouse and bought half the remaining inventory, so treasure your find. m[]

This is great line! I have used it since the test stage a few years ago, and have had no complaints. too bad it has been discontinued!

I too have used this line and found it very strong and abrasion risistent. One thing though. The 17 pound advertized diameter is a complete Joke! This stuff is more like 30LB mono Diameter. I tried to put it on one of my abut 5600's and could only get on 60 yards at best but that was really filling the sucker. The abu says I should get on about 130 yards of 17 pound test. I then switched to 80lb Wipplash and had no problem getting 130 yards of it on which is also advertized as 17 pound dia. You could go to 150 lb Wipplash that would have the same dia as 60 muskie braid spiderwire and get more than twice the strength!
