Thought I would share a pic of my recent glider. Lets see if the bass fisherman are correct about Skis eating all of the Bass, if they are this will stick a monster!!

11" long -- 12 OZ in weight-- carved to scale from Basswood. Sinks 3" per second and runs just like a Warlock.

Lake Webster has soooo much pressure and they have seen it all so I have decided to go as natural as possible and see what I can get to stand still long enough for a picture..........Enjoy....Doug Bradley

Shane,, There will be two hooks on top laying against the body and one against the body on the bottom all held in place by magnets. No noise will be made by them, a silent lure ( natural ) and the hooks are in locations similar to fin placements. Hopefully this will make them less visible to the musky.....Thanks Doug Bradley

Not sure about the hook placement, but I sort of like the magnet idea. I also think the fact that you made it out of basswood is hilarious!

I never made the BASSWOOD conection....LOL....Thats great!!!!!!!!!! I have found on larger baits like this one skis tend to take the bait in the midsection over the top and often miss the hooks, this ensures the hooks are in the mouth durring the strike.........Doug Bradley

I can't believe that you mentioned using magnets and hooks up top. There's a new design I have been working on for some time now that uses that same method! Great minds think alike I suppose eh?

Very original idea Doug! That might give you that edge throwing something that they have never seen. I live about 45 mins. from Webster Lake. For those who don't know it's real name is Lake Chargoggagoggmanchauggagoggchaubunagungamaugg. That's no joke. That's the real name

It is supposed be an Indian name meaning roughly, you fish your side, we fish our side, but nobody fishes in the middle. I believe it was two tribes bordering the lake.
Is there many pike/musky pulled out of there? I know it's crazy in the summer with the boats and jet skis. I was thinking of hitting it up through the ice soon.
Anyway nice design!

A few years ago I saw a 15" largemouth barely alive on the surface of the water near a weedy area on Kentuck Lake. It had been MAULED by a musky, no doubt a big one. Looked like somebody had hacked it with a filet knife. That lure will catch fish!

The top hooks might be an advantage when running over weed beds too. I think that it is a great idea.

Haha, I will have to try it out this ice season. At least the snowmobiles don't make wakes
