Posts: 13688 Location: minocqua, wi. | currently running the same stuff in mine but planning on adding an 8.5" global map upfront cause i'm getting old and can't see as well anymore ... the 334c of mine has been plagued with problems, but just got it back from being fixed/cleaned up ... nice for the 4-wheeler in the winter so i'll never get rid of it.

Posts: 7037 Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs | Bought both basically half priced, had to. If I never use color units, I'll never know what I'm missing, and I'll never feel like I'm missing out.

Posts: 1243 Location: Musky Tackle Online, MN | I guess I should have put LOWRANCE before I added 5200C in the poll. But everyone should be able to figure it out. I run that on the bow and have an H2O on a Ram Mount at the console. Pretty much only use that for marking waypoints when running the outboard. Slamr, if that's your goal, I hope you only fish out of your boat. I have a feeling the black and white units will be as common as a black and white TV some day. Although I kind of felt the same way for awhile. Then I just went ahead and bought the color unit "because". I can now say I will never even think about going b & w! Aaron

Posts: 3479 Location: Elk River, Minnesota | I'm all over the place with electronics.. At the back: Lowrance X65 At the console: Vexilar FL-10 in-dash flasher, Eagle intellimap 500C GPS w/navionics north map chip At the bow: Garmin 178C combo GPS/sonar (no chip...they don't make them anymore, and not really needed) Somewhere in the boat: Aqua-Vu scout 50 for the wife...I have a feeling she will be doing more viewing than fishing... Lowrance products.... bow: 102c for sonar, Global map 3600c with internal gps, side by side on rams... Console: 38c HD and 332c side by side, 38c on gps, and 332c on sonar...if one goes down I can plug in the other to run combo or whatever I want....found that running the boat from the back I liked the 8.4" screen for gps as it was easier to see... So far so good...though the new side imaging products have me very interested...like to try one for a few hours on water I know to see what it's like...

Posts: 2024 | Stone age when it comes to electronics. Been WANTING a nicer color unit for a while, but justifying the price tag is hard as a college student. Would rather spend money on baits, reels, rods, and fine cigars I guess. Console: Garmin "Old School" 168 GPS/Sounder Bow: Lowrance X-51... I actually love this little unit. Shows great detail for its size and super easy to use. Edited by esox50 1/23/2008 10:18 PM

Sean, There are times I miss the simple and very user friendly garmin 126. The mapping feature of the Eagle is nice, but there is a bunch more that I didn't need. The map of LOTW is decent..at least I can stay away from the marked reefs easy enough. Steve

Location: Apple Valley | I run X-15 at the dash with a H2O on a ram. At the bow I run X-87 with a H2oC on a ram mount. I have a backup X-87 just in case that my other units go out on me. Brian
