Location: Monee, Illinois | I got a bunch of gift cards for Chritmas and I want to buy a new musky net....Which one would you buy please add your favorite. I do not want a cradle but I am looking at a net, mine is 5 years old now and is a little bent....
Any comments on why would be great.....

| Will, TS116YS Stowmaster. This is a tank. Fold's up to the size of a walleye net. Out of the way design. I was looking at a new frabill but they take up too much room. The handle extends so you can tuck under a seat or cleats. What sold me it the size it goes down too. Bought mine at the Esox show from Rollie & Helen's for 185.00. I think it was worth it.

Location: Oconto Falls, WI | Big Kahuna. For most of what people catch the Big Game is fine, but it is nice to have the larger net like the Kahuna when the times arises. I ran the Big Game for years and loved it. I now have the Big Kahuna and don't think I'll go back to the Big Game. Keeps the fish in the net much better than the Big game especially when the fish spin up into the net. I have also found it is easier to net fish by myself with the Kahuna of the Big Game.

Location: Stevens Point, WI | Well, I have a Frabill, which I really like. However, I think after using the new Stowmaster all fall, I might be looking to add one of those to the boat. This net stores so much better than a big hooped Frabill. But they are both great. |

Location: Land of the Musky | I had the Frabill Kwik Catch and sold it to get a Big Kahuna. IMO the Big Kahuna is a much easier net to use alone or with another person. They are big though and do take up some room but that just means you need a bigger boat  That is what I tell my wife at least... |

| I use the power catch and the Kahuna, when I am fishing Eagle or Mille Lacs I take the Kahuna as I normally have some one with me. When I am in southern Wisconsin I use the power catch because. 1. Not as likely to catch or hook a 50lbr in southern wisconsin 2. I fish alone alot in southern wisconsin and It's easier for me to net with the power catch compared to the Kahuna. my 2 cents

| I prefer the stowmaster because I fish out of a smaller boat. It's really nice to leave the net folded up and out of the way until you need it. Or maybe I'm not good enough to need the net out all the time. |

| Big Kahuna, surprisingly light. Some guys I know stick 3M styro foam in the handle, apparently they float. Haven't tried myself though.

Location: Hayward, WI | I voted for the Power Catch because that's what I have. I really like the Frabill quality and construction. Not only does the bag seem to be good to the fish, hooks don't get tangled up in it at all. I'm sure all the others you listed are good, but I have experience with Frabill and like it.
If you fish with two people and have the room in the boat for it, go for the Big Kahuna. I fish alone a lot, and net probably 75% of my fish by myself. Have never tried the Big Kahuna, so maybe it isn't that hard to use alone. My Power Catch is easy enough to handle, but I don't know how much more weight I would want to have to handle alone. Would have to try one to know for sure.
I have had fish up to 46 inches in my Power Catch and it handled them fine. They were able to remain upright and relaxed in the net. If you were going to consitently have 50's in the net a bigger one might be better, but the Power Catch should handle them well enough as long as you aren't boating high numbers of 50's each year.

Location: midwest | Beckman Fin-saver, easier to move through the water if you have to "scoop" a fish. Smaller mesh on the sides with larger mesh openings on the bottom allow this.

I added the '8465 28"x50" PowerCatch Kwik Kradle Landing Net' as this IS a net albeit named with the word 'Kradle'. Not sure if you've looked at this particular net or if you have disqualified it based upon its namesake.
I own one and like it. I fish by myself a lot and I really like the treated netting, etc. I also like it because I can loop a scale through the net on both sides and weigh fish and the fish will still be held horizontally due to the shape of the net.
Definitely worth looking at.
I have not used the 'Big Kahuna' but it is also a very large net.

Location: Musky Tackle Online, MN | Beckman and Frabill both make great nets. My vote goes to the Big Kahuna. Whatever you do, make sure you get a treated bag. If you decide on a Frabill, I would get one soon. Prices are going up. I know of a local retailer who just increased their prices on their Frabill nets. The Big Kahuna jumped from $149 up to $179. Ouch!!!

| I used a buddy's net this past summer and was more impressed with it than the ones listed on the poll, big, light, floated, and had a coated fin saver type bag, tighter mesh that no fish or lures got wrapped up, plus he said it was alot cheaper than a Beckman or a Frabil. I think it was a "Loke" or something like that but I have not been able to find one, anyone know the brand I am talking about? |

| Hmmm... not sure on that "floating" net. EGO makes floating landing nets but nothing as big as what we're talking about here. Of course, there are a lot of fly fishing nets which float but, they too, are rather small.

| It does float, I think it is the same net used in the dvd's just big muskies and topwater muskies, built in Knoxville, Tenn. can't get the spelling right to find a website though... lowkee or something like that. |
