Did anyone read this story from one week ago ?
It was front page news in Milwaukee.

Your opinions ?

If the prey fish populations drop, as predicted in the article, it can't be good for supporting the current predator populations.

I think the Journal-Sentinel's continuing coverage of Great Lakes issues is good.

Folks should read that one. Strikes me that we're now really experiencing accelerated evolution of our environment. Our family has a place on a lake in SW MI and over the last 15 years I watched the Zebras create a whole chain of changes. Other variables contributed, too, like leaky old septic tanks.

Things are changing so much faster, and with greater unpredictability. In the old days, that would be a good party. Now I wonder where we'll go on this ride.

Just another in the line of invasives, We need to stay on the legislatures to fix this problem. WI is starting to take this seriously and looking for solutions. As sportsman we need to pay attention to this. An update I read from the St Lawrence talked about how SMB size was increasing because they are eating gobies, but they are seeing less SMB fry because the gobies are eating them. I agreee it is excelerating change and that can be dangerous.

Here is a link on an editorial about the issue from the Green Bay paper:
