This rod is brand new on the market, not sure if any reps or guides have tested it yet? I bought it with out trying it out after looking at almost every big bait rod on the market and holding them seeing there weight and balance. Seems to be a well built rod. I own two other tooth tamers from fig rig and they see the most work then any other rod/reel combo I own. I fish every weekend from april to november primarily for musky.

The pics show the handle length at 18" compared to other rods. The fig rig is centered to a 7'6" shimano compre which I think is there longest butt the 8' maybe a shade longer in the butt, the bass rod is a diawa light and tough 7'.

The other pic shows the baits I can cast with the jawbreaker with no problem. rattle trap showing size comparison.

Do youlike that Shimano with the power handle? Jsut got the setup with a new rod but have yet to throw anything with it.

I use the shimano calcutta 400 w/ powerhandle 7'6" compre only for dc 10 style bucktails. Awesome combo! Have caught musky with it! Could get away with 8' heavy compre too. The reel is perfect. Still can't figure why guys pay $350 for the 400te. My calcutta is one of the fist 400's made has casted every kind of musky bait known to mankind and only changed handle and drag washers once over the years. Clutch is still working like a champ.

Every weekend from April till end of November with 2 one week muskie trips thrown in the mix, sometimes weekdays after work too. I take apart my reels, clean and oil frequently. Always loosen the drag too when not being used. When I fish alone I could be on the water for more than 14hrs or more, believe it or not in any weather unless lightning is hitting the water. True diehard like everyone.

I have two of them I used for the last couple months of the season. They are tough and heavy duty. There is not a bait too big to toss as far as i know with these rods. I used them exclusively for the pounders and it was no problem at all.
