What type of wire do you guys recommend for making jerkbait / glidebait type leaders?  I have some 0.040" stainless wire for lure making that is a bit too easy to bend.  Wondering if there is something else that is a bit more springy.

American Fishing Wire - 174 pound, .029" diameter. Perfect for the applications you list. My .02 cents.

piano wire is great use about a 60 to 80 lb test and a haywire twist. Very inexpensive . Because they are change them, don't be that cheap and use one for 3 days of hard fishing.
