I've found a 2005 t-8 kicker for sale. It's got power trim, elec. start and low hours.
The asking price is $ 2000.00. Is this a good price? What kind of top end trolling speeds could I expect on a 1850 Fish Hawk with a 150 hp. on it. Also, this T-8 is a long shaft, but my fish hawk has the 20" transom. Would this cause any problem? Thanks in advance>

That's a fair price. Not sure of top speed, because my experience with the T8 is pulling crawler harnesses and cranks for walleyes. My Merc ProKicker will push my 1890 Tuffy at about 6 WOT.

I used a long shaft on my 1700 Lund. That should be the one for your FishHawk as well.

I have an Alumacraft Navigator 185 with a 150 on it and get 6mph tops out of my t-8.

Yesterday I purchased a T-8 as well and Trollmaster, what is the best way to tie to the steering.

I sold a 2005 T8 a year ago that had less than 50 hours on it. It was mint. I had it listed on Walleye Central and ended up selling for $1950. I think 2000 would be high. I would offer 1700 if it were me.

I had it on a 620 with a 225 and could only get about 4.5 mph without wind. I think on your lighter boat, you might be alright. i ended up going to an f15C Yami 4-stroke.
