| I always wanted to do this......make a bait crank or twitch or jerk bait and instead of painting them ,skin a small perch or gill and stretch there colored skin over the wood and clear over it.?Good idea or bad.Anybody try this?It would be a life like finish. |

| It seems like it would be a lot of trouble to do, plus I would guess that the color would fade. |

| No ideas are dumb! W/ the exception we got the bright idea to have a picnic once + made peanut butter + jellyfish sandwiches...still got scar tissue on me gums...there was the remnants of a buckskin bait on ebay so I guess it would be possible![:sun:] |

| E, it sounds pretty cool actually. The only problems I see is how long it may last and getting the lure body the perfect size for the perch.
Too bad perch did not come in a firetiger or orange bandit colors.[;)] |
