Location: Land of the Musky | I was surfing and found bucktails with #16 blades.
Holly crap!! Anyone ever seen these or any double #16s? I think I need that new saltwater reel afterall! Wonder how fast you can reel these in? Next will be double #40s! |

| I actually manufacture them and they are very easy to retrieve (relative to size). I was using my abu 550 (I think) with a short black beauty rod from many years ago and they ran great. Speed is dependent on how strong your rod is, if I cranked (rod pull, not reeling) them too fast, my rod would make noise, so I was careful not to break my rod and it looks like a telephone pole to start. The best part of these is the balance. When in a stop and go retrieve, they stay horizontal and the blades keep moving for a bit. I will try to get some videos of them in the water pretty soon. | yah thats what i thought "dbl" these blades kinda look like the 13s.16s would have to be much bigger than 4"....

Location: Kronenwetter, WI | Look like 13s to me. Never heard of 16s. The size dif between the 10s and 13 is enormous..16s would be....godzilla-sized. |

Location: Land of the Musky | Didn't the the original Cowgirl (Dinner bell or Cow bell??) have a single #15 on it? I think I saw Hulbert or Jason H. with a used one last year at the Medina show. Hard to tell though. It was a massive single bladed bucktail though. Should have bought it when I had the chance. |

| Those are the stainless steel Mega Blades. They are not hard to get. They are available from Hagens and a few other places. There is not a size on them when you purchase them. So someone could call it whatever size they want. Whether that is 16's or 22's.
Also the rod has very little to do with retrieving big bladed baits. It is all in the reel. |

| Megas are just a bit bigger and are cupped differently. They are not made by the same company nor the same material. They are also thinner .024 and made out of stainless steel instead of brass. |

Location: La Crosse, WI | I was just doing some research and they are the 13's being sold at Moores (exact same as the original mega blade as I have a few). The original megal blades were also steel and had the exact same cupping. The #13 though is actually not very accurate, if you compare them with lakeland and worth sizes, this blade should be called a #15 or #16, I guess they just figured #13 was a bit bigger then the numbering they have. I didn't know that a few people where already selling them as I made many bucktails out of the original mega blades a few years ago and they were very popular.
