I have a couple of the older models - models that do NOT have a split ring attaching the main body and the tail. I just recently noticed that they are now making them with a split ring.

For those of you that use them, or rather, have used them without a split ring vs. with a split ring, what is your opinion of the action, etc...? Better, worse, or indifferent?

Thanks!

I have one that is the older style, 9". Loop pin type deal embedded in each end, and the one on the tail end broke, leaving me with a front end only. Leaving a musky with the back end, hope she was able to get rid of it!
Love the action on these, but it worried me to buy another, didn't want that happening again. Always meant to call or write the manufacturer but it's just in a pile with other baits to be "modified".
