Location: Illinois | I'll be spending the final weekend of 2007 battling the spillway muskies below the Lake Shelbyville Dam (Kaskaskia River located in central Illinois). It's my first trek beneath the dam, though my hopes are high cuz I've heard people "slay" em there this time of year! It was a great year, but I'm just not ready to call it over just yet! I love living in a state with no closed season for muskies! Mike Witowski

| Good luck down there, Mike. As of Saturday they wouldn't move if you dropped a brick of C4 in there. Better get there early if you want a decent spot, too...

Location: Illinois | So I hear it's been tough! Well I'll be twice as happy if I can get one on the end of my line then! I'll fish it hard and hopefully the bite turns on while I'm there! If not, I'll just have to wait 'til 2008! Thanks for the "go-get-em"'s and I'll give a full report as to the trip when I'm back!

| Fish around moonrise/moonset. Those are traditionally good lunar periods to hit down there. Be patient and they will come! |
