I make it to Knoxville every few months and was thinking of hitting this lake - anyone know of a guide in that area?

Also run a Google search on Melton Hill muskies... TN is kicking out some big fish (check out the 54" registered in the Lax contest).

Hi Shane
Here are links to a couple of local clubs, some of the guys are pretty hard core. If you post when you are coming down you might find someone to show you around. Heck I might it would be a good reason to get out another weekend.

I'd strongly recommend hiring Chris Haley. He's done real good on that lake so far. PM me and I'll send you his contact info. I've fished with Chris, can't ask for a much better guide. m

Hey Shane,

Realize you have likely already done the deed when it comes to hiring your Guide, but as I only just saw your post wanted to add my ENTHUSIASTIC endorsement for one Mr. Chris Haley.

He has really put in some major time exploring and promoting this "sleeper"... and, having spent time in the boat with him can tell you he is great company, knows his stuff and is constantly tinkering with the HOWS & WHYS of consistantly successful Musky Hunting.

Buckhorn, Cave Run, Green River, Melton Hill... probably many more, but Chris is one of the 'go to' Guides down that way and will do you right.

ShaneW if you want to get together, I was there last year with Kauffman. I have a few maps and would gladly go over the lake with you. Currently with the bum knee I could be available most anytime.
