Posts: 169 | Does anyone know if there are different ways to record from an Aqua Vu camera? I looked at the DVR Aqua Vu sells and it only has 15 minutes of hard drive space. I’m looking for something with more storage space. Thanks in advance for any tips. Thanks, Brad

Posts: 132 | I think that DVR device takes SD cards. You could get some bigger cards. Also, if you have a newer video camera you can hook directly to it. My video camera is about eight years old and I didn't have the correct port to hook up. Thats another possibility.

Posts: 169 | Partycrasher, you're right. it does take SD cards, I didn't read close enough. Thanks, Baldy, I wasn't sure if it was universal or if Aqua Vu needed a special connection. Thanks both of you. Brad

Posts: 169 | Steve, I was looking at an Archos. Can you transfer video from the Archos to a computer? Thanks, Brad

i've watched Steve transfer from the Archos to his computer for editing the film. it's amazingly easy to do: essentially he just attached the cord and hit "go"... Steve, what was the name of the film editing software you were using again?

Posts: 32934 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Final Cut Pro, and Windows Movie Maker. I use Movie Maker for the small clips. Drop in the clip from the Archos, take out what isn't wanted, and there you are. The Archos actually charges it's battery from the USB connection with the computer. I was going out on the Ice today, but Christmas decorating projects and a deer from last night to process put a halt to that idea...maybe tomorrow! I will still have images of the Archos rigged to the Aqua-Vu color spool camera tonight.

Posts: 32934 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Here's the ice set-up. The Archos velcros to the back of the monitor in or out of the Archos case. One wire to record. The small box on the side is the E-Cell external power source. Clean, one unit, easy to set up and carry. Records in color. This is easy to set up with any underwater camera with video out.
