Posts: 929 Location: Rhinelander. | I believe this weekend is going to be a big fish weekend. Its to be nice and the front will be passed through and alot of guys are hitting the water. I looked at my logs and just from looking at them I get the feeling there will be some very happy anglers out there. Conditions are right for a hog. Good luck all. Pfeiff

Posts: 38 Location: Rhinelander | Same here Don. I raised one but didn't get a good look and had another taste a sucker....BUT...what a nice day to be out on the water. Eagles flying over at tree top level, eyeing the sucker (me) and the swimm'n Joe. Lots of different waterfowl. Best of all was the serenity. Only about 5 other boats on the lake.Leaves about 600 acres each to fish. How nice that is? Gotta love fall fishing up North. Jeff

I got out for the first time since mid-September. My brother and I each caught a 42", but there were at least three 50 inchers caught by people fishing around us. I guess we weren't in the right spots at the right times. A few of us all got our suckers from the same place, and they were 18-20 inches long. The fish had no problem taking them, and the homemade quick strike rigs worked well. Here's a photo. Attachments ---------------- sucker.JPG (80KB - 94 downloads)

This one was either 18 or 20 inches. It got smashed by a 42 inch Muskie a while after this photo was taken.

Posts: 929 Location: Rhinelander. | Here I figured it was going to be a big fish weekend but it sure was not for me, I fished all morning and afternoon. My suckers were still in good shape at days end. I did however finish reading a really good mystery while in the boat. Pfeiff
