Posts: 16632 Location: The desert | So I've had a fuzzy duzzit laying in my tackle box for years now....I think I'm going to give it a whirl up in PI this year. Are there any specific things guys like to do with them? Cast out and retrieve or mainly just vertical jig? This may be a dumb question, but I'm looking to learn how to use one of these things, so any help is appreciated.

Posts: 5874 | Find your deep hole, and verticle jig them. Be aggressive! See how long you can keep it going. Keep a tight hold on the rod, cuz if you get a good fish to hit, they'd like to take the rod out of your hand. Some of the hardest hits I've ever had!

Posts: 238 | Been using them up here for two seasons now with great results.I use them for suspendos over deep water on baitfish concentrations as an in your face approach, inside turns and iregularitys on deep breaks always get a good working over with them.Ive had some great results on deep river bends just working them while slowly moving around on the t-motor. Like others have said keep a tight hold on that rod, when they decide to hit it THEY WANNA KILL IT.I fish mine on a7-6 mh bucktail rod.One cool thing is its kinda like ice fishing with a graph you can watch your fuzzy on the graph then all of a sudden theres a fish in your cone and your heart skips a beat for a second in anticipation of the hit, sometimes it comes sometimes it dosent, but its exciting to see!All kinds of other fish come for a look too,a cool bait to work and sometimes a nice break from the usuall chuck and grind. At times they watch it from distance out side of your cone then rush in and smash it unexpectedly or they just swim by it showing them selves for a second then leaving only to rush back in and smash it or rush back in and slam on the brakes just in front of it,these are fun baits that i always look forward to spending some time on.Good luck.
