I was just wondering if anyone has tried the new 2.1 update for their Lowrance Sonar/GPS combo yet(particularily an lcx-111 or lcx-25c)? I had trouble with the 1.7 in shallower water, and went back to the 1.6 which is much better, but I have heard that the 2.1 has solved some of the earlier issues caused by the 1.7. I'd love to have some of the features back, if I knew the shallow water readings would be ok. Ohh... and did they change the software, so one can turn the unit off, then back on to the same screen, or does the main map page still come up every time, even with the new update. Thanks in advance.

Not done it yet. I'll be waiting for good feedback from those that have. I went back to 1.6 also. My GPS kept losing lock. Shallow water was OK. Go figure.

I put 2.1 on my X25c and tried it out for three hours while mapping some structures and some shallow trolling. Auto Sensitivity worked flawlessly from fifty feet up to two feet. I do not have the unit networked so I do not know how the other new features work. The only thing was that I did not lock on to any WAAS satellites but still had EPE of 10-15 feet.
