Posts: 2089 | Curley Sue during the day and Blades at night.Rocks for sure, but the green weeds are holding fish as well. 48.5 on the stones and a 50 from the weeds on Saturday for a client. Steve Edited by Steve Jonesi 10/9/2007 7:53 AM

Posts: 40 Location: Straight out from shore! | Fished yesterday and moved 7 nice fish off the rocks in 2ft of water or less. They seem to be real lazy right now. I could not get them to bite at all. Chucking bulldawgs, jerk baits and cranks at em.

Posts: 636 Location: Bloomington, MN | I got 2 33"'s last weekend. One on a XXX and the other on a Skywalker (sort of like a Jackpot). The northerns sure loved anything we threw. I should of spent more time on the rocks, but had a couple nice ones going in weeds. I've been making left hand turns where I should of made a right since I was 17 years old! At least a good story came from the trip...I showed my friend where we caught lots of smallmouth in August, and within 10 minutes fishing we knew they were no longer there. We then fished an off shore reef and marked some fish in 15'-18'. He decided to drag a spider jig, and picked up 2 nice smallmouth 18"ish right away. The second pass he said he has something, but wasn't fighting. He then brought up a kids Spiderman rod on his spider jig. The trophy is now being displayed at Fishing Connections in Tinley Park, IL.

Posts: 2089 | Fish on the rocks and still using green weeds. I had clients Saturday, and they raised 8 fish throughout the day, including a couple real nice ones.I thought the 40" Pike on a Curley Sue was pretty cool though. These guys worked their butts off all day and at 8PM, were toast.I dropped them off at Hunters and decided to go back out by myself for a couple hours. A beautiful night with practically no wind and air temps in the upper 30's.Worked rocks for an hour with nothing .Jumped to the weeds and within 15 minutes or so, I was slipping the Kahuna under a fish.50" on the nuts. The MOJO continues. Posts: 158 Location: Burlington, WI | Nice to here that some fish are moving. Can't wait to fish with you Steve on Friday. Myself and two buddies are leaving early Thursday and were possibly looking for a smaller lake to hit up for a few hours on the way to Mille Lacs. We're coming from SE WI and will be heading through Minneapolis to get up there. We might just fish the Mille Lacs anyway, but we were also wondering about nearby lakes in case we get blown off the big pond any of the other days we will be up there fishing as well. Thanks Good Luck to everyone else.

I would definetly get up to mille lacs!! These fish are on fire right now. I was up there Tues and Wed, saw 19 fish and boated 4. 1 was 51. Saw a couple well over 50 inches. Fish are in weeds and rocks and are moving bigtime. Multiple windows throughout the day and did get 1 fish after dark on Tues. Saw 2 other boats get a fish as well. Plus, if you cant find em, there guides all over the lake to follow!! Good Luck!!
