I want to wish a good friend a very happy Birthday. Jim Slivinski "BEAVER" is now a happy 52 years young.

I wish I could give him a nice new back for his birthday but he will have to struggle on with his old one until we can find a way to rebuild him. A couple buldging disks and a couple other bad ones have kept him down for a while but knowing him he will get through it and be on the water soon, I hope.

Happy Birthday my friend!!!

Thanks guys.
The back IS what it IS. Medication and cope. At least I can walk, unlike lots of other patients that I see in the waiting room.
Had some injections last week. Supposed to help the 2 herniated discs. The Dr "probed" the degenerated discs, and he said that they have the consistency of poker chips, and they slid more than bulged. Just as long as they stay away from the nerve running down the center of the whole mess, I'll deal with the pain. Like I said, the people in wheelchairs have it so much worse than me, that I'll just keep on dealing with it.
Had to hang up the bow, the rifle and the golf clubs, but that is peanuts compared to the things in life that really count....like taking the dog for a walk with my daughter, like I'm going to do right now.
If the results of the injections are any indication of what to expect from them, I'll skip any more of those. No relief from them at all, but the Doc said sometimes it takes a couple of weeks.
Might have to turn into a troller
Thanks for the B-Day wishes.
Beav
