Location: Chicago | I'm asking the fine folks at muskiefirst for info on where I can get a carb or float bowl for my 1983 25 HP Mercury outboard. I had my boat in the shop for 3 weeks, they couldn't locate the parts needed to fix. They called every listing on Merc and were told these carb & parts are no longer available. so I picked it up today.
Hopefully someone out there will know if I can get these parts. If anyone knows a shop and can send me a phone # or email address, it would be greatly appreciated. I hate knowing that I might be high & dry for the rest of 07
Carb Part #1390-8677A5
or
Float Bowl #1399-8656
Thanks,
Rob

Location: Rhinelander | Hey Rob, There are a couple of carbs. on E bay that should suit your needs. Search under "mercury carburator" and contact the seller about questions you may have. Jeff |

| I used to run an oldy but goldy merc for many years. If I remember correctly, there was a place in Minnesota, Minneapolis I think, that had tons of old merc parts. Sorry, don't have the name or number. Maybe one of the Minnesota boys can help..... |

Location: Chicago | Thanks guys..everything helps. I found one in TN waiting for a phone call to verify it's the right one needed. This definitely a needle in a haystack. Still looking forward to more replies. |

| You could also call Mercury headquarters in Fond du lac, their customer service could probably give you several places in the U.S. to check for parts..... |

Location: Northern Illinois | Have you tried Sturges Old Motor Emporium. Parts are guarantied as long as you can see their tail lights? |
