Subject: Lowrance GPS experts???

I have a 3600 series color Lowrance GPS in the bow of my boat.. When I stand in the back of the boat, the screen shows shallow water is blue and deeper (15'+) is white, but when I stand right over the top of it, the entire screen is white.. Can anyone tell me what function I need to change to get a clear difference in color between white and blue if I am standing above the unit?? The guy I was fishing with last night seems to think it is the map?? I run navionics (last years best and greatest version) I really don't think this is the case, because I also run Navionics in my Humminbird on the dash, with no problems... Any Lowrance experts??

try it on "night" mode, that will show the map in different colors.

I know on my garmin GPS there was a menu option called marine colors that would change it. I'm thinking there is something similar on the lowrances.
