| I was wondering if anyone has used 200 lb flourocarbon leaders to troll Jakes in the Fall? Will they hold up banging baits into rocks? Thanks for your advice-- |

| I only troll when it is fall and the waves are too bad to stand up anymore.. I use 200 pound Flouro and like my lures banging into rocks and never had a problem with the Flouro... I check my leaders a before we begin and anytime a fish is boated and a couple times throughout the day.. I don't take chances, if there is a nick in the leader, it gets changed... |

Location: Toronto, ON | If you're concerned at all about the rocks, why not just use a heavy (174# - 30#) single strand leader where you don't have any concern. I think that the common brown wire is much less visible, if that's what you're concerned about, than 200# fluoro, especially after it's been scuffed up on the rocks. $.02 |

Location: Detroit Lakes | I might be wrong but doesnt wire cut up the fish. Cause I know the fish like to roll in the fall. I have used 110 pound fluoro in rocks and never had a problem, but I havent used it too much for trolling. |

Location: Davenport, IA | Flouro is definetly abrasion resistant. But I think the only wire that cuts up fish is non-coated sevenstrand. I've never seen a cut on a fish using .051 single strand or 90 lb nylon coated sevenstrand. |
