I am going to keep doing what I am doing. I am sure things will vary from lake to lake but i have had the same basic action from the same pattern since the end of july. I have had had winds from every direction in that timeframe, including the winds we will have this weekend. Water temps will be about the same, mid 60's, I figure the fish will be right where they have been since then.

My experience shows that the water temps have nearly everything to do with location and last weekends water temps were far below what they will be at the end of this weekend.

If you know where the fish were last weekend they will still be there. Whether they are willing to eat or not is another question.

As far as my feelings as patterns for the upcoming weeks...we are currently in what I call the late summer cool down. The majority of fish, and usually bigger fish that my boat finds are on shallower structures immediately adjacent to the main basin. Usually these fish are most easily targeted with topwater, suicks, and bucktails. THat advice and an additional buck may get you a cup of coffee on your morning trip to the lake!

Last year when we had weather close to what we have this weekend, I stayed on weed edges for about 3-4 hours and did not have as much as a follow.. The heavy winds made me lose my boat control and I ended up in shallow water.. My boat caught 2 fish on topwaters and had several follows in the last 2 hours of the day, all from extremely shallow water, inside the weedline... I do believe the water temps were lower though, and I think the fish are going to hold through this weekend.. Next weekend may be a different story....
