Posts: 114 Location: New London, Wisconsin | Guys, What are 5-10 crankbaits, straight and jointed, that you cannot leave the dock without? Trying to gain some confidence with these and I'm interested in some opinions. Right now, I am most confident with Cranes and Grandmas. Thanks for the help. Labs

Posts: 419 Location: Appleton, WI | Hopefully my brother Travis chimes in on this one. He's one of those guys that lives and pretty much dies on crank baits. I've had the most success with the follow: Jointed Shallow Raider Straight Depth Raider Jakes Triple D Bagley DB08 Warner Crankbaits ...8" Jointed Believers...not your typical crankbait, but a good one also.

Posts: 1906 Location: Oconto Falls, WI | Here is a short list that should cover all conditions all year. My list could be quite extensive since I love almost all crankbaits, but with these I could cover the water column from spring to fall. Not much fan of jointed cranks so you won't see much on the list. 10" Jake 10" Warner 8" Warner Triple D Ciscokid Ernie Bagley DB08 Cranky Nitro Countdown Depthraider (soon to be replaced by countdown cranky Nitro) Custom weighted Jointed Reef Digger (countdown) Here is another thread with similar content. http://www.muskyhunter.com/forums/generalforum/11269.html

Posts: 127 Location: Brookfield | Grandmas and Jakes, all sizes up to 10". I'm not manly enough to throw anything bigger. Double D's When I want to run deeper I like Triple D's, Ernie's, and Draiders although I am probably the only person who has never seen a fish yet on a Draider.

Posts: 941 Location: Freedom, WI | The cranky nitro can be used for twitching or jerking and the like easier. The cranky HT is more of a straight crankbait then the regular, you can do pulls and twitches but not as wildly with lots of hang time.
