I've got a bunch of Cranes and two Mantas I need to replace the plastic on.How are you guys getting the plastic out of them without damaging the lure.Whatever glue they use is good stuff.

One of the lips on my crane just came out. I went to Menards and bought some clear epoxy that worked on wood and plastic. I used a knife to cut away all the old stuff and a little sand paper to rough up around were the new epoxy would go. I fished with the lure the next day and it worked great. I tired to give it a strength test and could not break it off. Make sure you get some epoxy in the hole where the lips were. I also used toothpicks to move the epoxy around.

You can buy new lips from Rollie and Helens - I just looked at what size they are.

Hope this helps -

Problem I'm having is the epoxy won't let go of the plastic even trying to use a good knive.A buddy said to dip the front of the lure in boiling hot water, and the epoxy will loosen up enough to pry the plastic out.I'm going to try that.
