Posts: 32955 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | I'm supposed to be on the road this weekend, and Sue is working, so we may or may not get out at all. Where are you headed this weekend to slap some steel to a muskie?

Posts: 336 Location: Lino Lakes, MN | My brother, a good buddy, and I are about to head out the door for a week on LOTW. Ive been looking forward to this trip for quite some time and its hard to believe its finally here. Everything is packed and double checked....just waiting for my bro to get home from work and we are out the door. Good luck to everyone hitting the water over the next week or so. Hopefully I have a few pictures of big girls to post when we get back.

Posts: 103 Location: Land O' Lakes WI | My first spot in the early AM (5:30 usually) will be a spot we like to call the "coffee bar". It usually starts with a little grinding, however if things go bad we can get unexpected topwater action. Next spot we affectionately call the "breakfast bar" and it usually starts by wiping the surface with rag baits. Every inch gets covered not once but twice with the second pass across the bar actually sanitizing this honey hole. After that we have a choice. First we could hit the "range top " island or the "bakery case" peninsula. Again the tactics will vary but can include keading across the flat surface or burying the sweetest things possible in the peninsula. Unfortuately I am not in a boat when I get to do all this but in our restaurant. We are dedicating this year to fishing vicariuosly on the message boards!!! Good luck to all the guys that can hit the water. Look forward to all the reports of this weekends lunkers and the ones that got away! Mark

Posts: 20278 Location: oswego, il | Mark, it is great to hear from you! I am off to vermillion for a week with my kids, grandfather and mom, 4 generations. I made some crazy arsed buzzbaits with some odd blade combinations, can't wait to see of they work.
