Location: Iowa | I bought one this spring and so far I really like it. I got an 8'6" XH and I can throw about anything in my tackle box. It's also probably the lightest 8'6" rod I've ever picked up. I would recommend picking one up.

Location: Sandusky, OH | I have a 8' XH and like it so far. I agree with Jeremy that I can throw about anything with them, very versitile. I don't know how it compares with other rods of this length as far as weight, but I don't consider it light by any means. However, it balances well with the Penn 975 I have on it, and I don't think you can beat the price. My only complaint is that I don't get to use it enough.

Location: WI | I have the Tica 8'6" XH also. Great rod, especially for the money. You can do some nice wide figure eights with it and it throws Mag Dawgs to bucktails great. I think there was an other thread on this before, check the archives.

| I have two 8'6" Tikas and love them both. The only problem is that the cork on the handle is a little bit longer then the end of the handle where it telscopes and that will break off with use. I sanded off the cork and applied some super glue so it wouldn't split off on the handle. I love them and use them for everything except walk the dog lures. |

| I second both the above comments. For the money, the best rod I own. I will have another this year. I noticed the same thing on the handle though. I cut the cork off of mine 1/2" behind where the inner handle blank stopped with a raisor blade and put it on a rod turner with epoxy on the very end of it to seal it off. Actually looks good and will not come loose. I emailed tica through their website asking what was their thinking on the design. I got no response, but all that said I will have another. I don't think you can beat it for under $200. I throw 8 oz. + baits all day long with it.

| It a good rod and will fit in rod storage of most boats. The best rod you can buy for that price. |
