Posts: 378 Location: Michigan | Here is a pic of a nice long summer fish that Jimmy Willison picked up recently. Not sure if he got a weight, but the length is 57. He is to modest to post it, so I will do it for him... Jimmy has caught some nice fish over the years, but I think this one is his largest. Cool thing is he caught it on one of his trolling spinnerbaits. I think it is called the T-5. I have used them on LSC with sucess, so I know they work. Way to go Jimmy! Posts: 38 | I am guessing he kept it? Otherwise most likely the fish would die, cause it already has pink color to its fins and around the outside of its gills... Plus the gills are no longer red...

Posts: 3518 Location: north central wisconsin | Can't blame him if he did Joe, but impossible to tell the condition of the fish from the picture. Heck, its' still connected to the line, though it appears.. Great fish Jimmy!!!! Would love to hear the rest of the story.

Posts: 480 | Nice fish Mr. Willison, I bet he caught the tanker on a modified T-10. He obviously needed help landing the beast (most centenarians do), but I think Jimmy would give that fish one of his own organs before keeping that it. Keep them coming Jimmy. Duff

| he could have released it maybe the coloration is just from certain angles of light. that is a great trophy though. congradulations on a massive fish. | |||

Posts: 32955 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | The coloration is due to the lighting in the photo (backlit). Sheesh.

Posts: 720 | Tom, Thanks for showing us that fish. I love it 57". What a pig. As for you all you fish doctors and pathologist keep your comments and thoughts regarding whether or not this fish survived to yourself. This is why nice folks like Tom don't show their pictures anymore. I for one like too see them. Dave

Posts: 76 | Awsome fish! Congrats. I'm always amazed how the photo police come out of the wood work when someone posts an awsome fish pic. What is it? Jealousy or what? Its great that he released this fish and all, but if he caught what he thought was a once in a lifetime fish and decided to keep it, GOOD FOR HIM. Sorry for the little rant. It just gave me backflashes of the whole Tom Gelb kept fish deal.

| Guys, Jimmy is the sole reason I begain musky fishing. He was my teacher in high school and he used to bring in Muskies Inc. and muskyhunter magazines for his students. Well I used to read them now I'm hooked. Jimmy has given me probably 100 baits. I have bought many other baits from him. He is a true sportsman and a true musky fisherman. There is no other man, besides me, that I'd like to see get a fish like that. Jimmy deserves a fish like that and I'd like to see it get posted on the front page of muskiefirst. Come on steve, post that puppy. Shawn | |||
