| Hi Zach,
I cannot tell you anything about the Catela, but I am pretty sure the Mitchell SPC 900 is not longer being made, so if you see one, I would grab it, and it will probably be on sale, as the last few I saw last fall were.

| I have a Mitchell, and really like it. Seems that they have back burnered the muskie reels for awhile, too bad![:((] |

| Schuler try ffo-tackle.com. They have the 900's on sale for like 86 bucks if that's what you want. |

| I have three Spidercast Pro SCP900 reels, thanks to Theedz155. They have performed great. I have had the first two reels for two years. They handle the 5" Slammers just as easily as the heavy weighted Jerkbaits. I have used them mainly for muskie fishing, but they have performed great ocean fishing off Florida each year. They have been easy to maintain. The drag worked flawlessly on a 45" baracuda. If a 45" baracuda was tied to the tail of a 45" muskie, the muskie would be swimming backwards for the rest of its life!
The cost is less than half of the Calcuttas in your question. They were less than half the cost of the top of the line Ambassadors that I retired when I got the 900's,
plus they performed much better. Good Luck. |
