Posts: 7113 Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs | Do they have Muskie gear at iCast? I'm guesing that's where he is instead of manning the BOOTH! Get to work! Attachments ---------------- iCast_D1_1icastfloow.jpg (86KB - 128 downloads)

Posts: 32955 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | I wish Slamr would stop deleting my posts. I'm bored and in Escanaba, MI, and posting about BeeJees and JuJuBees, and the posts keep disappearing! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Slamr is a freak; I didn't say any of this!

Posts: 299 Location: Ontario, California | Hmm... There was about 3 places I could have been. Best bet is in one of the meeting rooms behind the booth or.... in an outside meeting room upstairs or.... in the bathroom. I didn't even have 5 free minutes to choke down a $20 hot dog. It was the busiest schedule ever with sometimes 3 meetings per hour. Good response on the new telescopic Muskie rods and a last minute introduction of a 250 & 400 size round reel series called Red Isis... A reel that our Japanese agents sell with a machined aluminum handle knob. I call it the love it or hate it reel. You'll see why when I post a picture of it later.

Posts: 906 Location: Warroad, Mn | The telescoping rods are great! Two different actions, I'm using the light one for top water, spinner baits, and regular bucktails, and the heavy one for suicks, believers, and the big double bladed bucktails. Doug Johnson

Posts: 1504 Location: Oregon | When I was in Germany last spring I walked into a shop in Seligenstadt (near Frankfurt) that was absolutely full of telescopic rods...probably 300 or more. Some of the rods were very heavy action and extremely well built. There are some advantages for sure to using telescopic rods...much easier to transport, great for bank fishing because you can collapse them while walking through the brush, etc. Jed V.

Posts: 32955 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | The Induron Reels have been a pleasure to use. Power handles are great! Okuma definitely has a quality product. The drag is smooth, and the 250 held up perfectly all early season and a week in Canada tossing 5 casts a minute without a blip. And, they sound cool on the video... Back to Wabigoon next week, and more reel abuse..

Posts: 1996 Location: Pelican Lake/Three Lakes Chain | I've been trying to wear out my Okuma, I must have about 5000 miles on it by now, and I really like it. It came with a bit too much grease in it, but once I cleaned the excess out it just keeps going and going and going..... The one thing I really don't like about it is that it lost a fish on the figure 8 on me tonight, I know it had to be the reel, I would never screw up. I am using the Induron 400lxa and like it alot. Posts: 7113 Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs | Beyond the above what I can say is....DONT overlook the Okuma line for linecounters! I have 9 and all of them have performed FLAWLESSLY on the Big Pond dragging for fish that fight as hard as muskies, only the boat is going 2.5mph the whole time! Dollar for dollar you WONT find a better linecounter than the Magda or Convector lines. Check'em out.

Posts: 299 Location: Ontario, California | Here's a sneak peak at the Red Isis... I only have an old picture with the name that our agents in Japan use but the spec will be the same along with the colors and handle. You either love the looks or hate it.... Spec wise it has less Ball Bearings (5+1) than the IDX reels (7+1) but they are the highest quality that we put in our reels (called HPB's). The main difference is in the color and the machined aluminum handle. The suggested retail once they come out will be $159.99.
