Subject: Flashing Depthfinder

I recently purchased an Eagle depthfinder, I paid aproxx $150 new at gander mountain. When I first installed it everything worked just fine. Recently it started flashing when running on plane & I can't tell how deep I'm running. This is a problem as I leave for LOTW next Friday.

The transducer is in the same spot as the one I replaced on the back of a Crestliner 750. I'm reluctant to re-locate the postion of the transducer but may have no choice. I figured that it's getting some interfearence from the lower unit?

Any other suggestions on what may cause this? I can't understand why it would work & then suddenly start flashing when running on plane, when it did work before?

thanks in advance
Mike

Mike: Sounds like it might just be a loose connection or possibly the transducer angle changed slightly after some use, Check your connections & Transducer angle

I had the same problem this year when i changed my locators also, my problem was my new transducer was smaller then my old one so when i was on plan it was out of the water. Hope this helps.
