| I just picked up a supply of Dunright soft baits made out of "Formula X" and have heard that they need to be stored correctly so that they don't melt other plastic baits or boxes.
Can these baits be kept in a Plano 3700 or will they melt the box? I've also heard of keeping them in seperate zip lock bags. What do you guys do?

| I keep the Formula X plastics in a ziplock bag to prevent them from touching other plastics. I talked to a guy working at Guides Choice in Eagle river a few weeks ago and he said Andy was having quality control problems with the formula X plastic baits. If you saw some of these baits at the musky shows this winter you saw that the paint jobs were sometimes sketchy. He was getting a large percentage of baits back from the manufacturers with bad paint jobs so he is hand pouring all of the baits with the ori
ginal plastic.
Personally I don't think the muskies give a rip about the paint job, the action is awesome. I have tossed the suzy sucker a few times and have gotten several follows but I expect action when I put more time in. They are great looking baits. |

Location: Aurora IL | I use ziplocs ,if you store them with any regular plastics or boxes that used to hold regular plastics they have a chemical reaction and melt the box. I found out in the old days with strike king bass baits. Plano even tried to sell special boxes but the only difference was the label. It did get guys to separate them and thats the key. the material really does hold up better but its a trade off if you forget and ruin baits and boxes. good luck fishing |
