This week a local guy caught a lake st clair musky that measured 58.5 inchs with a 23 inch girth that weight apox 36 lbs on his scale. The fish was released . So my question is how much weight and girth will a fish this size put on through the summer?

yhe fish may end up being a lean fish or fatten up. on st clair i have seen fish go that way and have seen 49,s break 40lbs. on average in the fall the peak weights occur by november, as the gorging slows down. colder waters and seasons end in mid december . i have caught 54.5 inch to weigh at 29 3/4 , on the other end 45 inch at 35lbs. weird fish. i guess once you see the oddities you realize we know very little about the muskys
