Location: Bloomington, MN | My friend is looking at getting a Tracker Pro-Guide V-16c w/ a 75 Merc 4-stroke. He definetely wants an aluminum boat w/ a console, but doesn't want to spend over $16k (pretty much a cash deal). This would be his first boat, and I'm happy that he is going to max. it out with the 75 hp 4-stroke, I wish he would go with the 17', but I really don't know where my next tank of gas is coming from!. Comparable Fisher's, Lowe's, and G3's are more $$. A $1200+ difference buys a couple more long weekends at a nice resort, gas $, and tasty beers. I personally think resale value 8 years down the road on all 4 makes is not going to make much of a difference. Any positive or negative comments/suggestions would be appreciated. My friend is located in the happy town of Peshtigo, WI (caught fire the same day Chicago did...not cows, but more than likely meteors was the cause), and wants to buy new and somewhat local.

Location: Lebanon,Mo | Just my opinion....i would suggest finding a lund that is a couple years old,for the fact it will have a higher resale value than the tracker,even if you buy the tracker new this year.the G3's are a very good boat and would be worth the extra $ to get one.they have done alot of research on trying to compete with the "big" name in aluminum.i see these boats everyday considering there made right where i live. i just sold my 2 year old lund for more than i gave for it,and have a G3 ordered. just my thoughts....Fred. |
