I hear this is a good design for musky fishing. Could someone who runs this boat tell me how tippy it is and how much water it needs to float? How long rods in the locker?

Thanks.

You have heard exactly right. The 1890 is an awesome musky hull. I've run an 1890DC for the last two years and absolutely love it. Lots of room both on the decks and cockpit, and a fantastic big water ride.

Tippy, not at all. Rock solid. I fish three people out of my boat every day I guide. We all fish off the same side and have never noticed any list.

As far as skinny water goes, I have not had problems. I fish a lot of smaller lakes with somewhat questionable landings and have only had a problem on one of them. The water on that lake was very low last year however, and everyone was having problems on that one. It doesn't take alot of water to float it, I have nosed up to shore anywhere I have desired for clients to take nature breaks without any issue.

The rod locker takes an eight footer, those are the longest rods I have. I'm not sure if longer rods fit or not. I currently have two 8'ers, a 7'9", three 7'6" a 7'er and 6'9" in the locker with room to spare.

I don't know where you are located, but if you want a test ride in the boat give me a shout.

Fished 4 out of mine on the morning of the Southern WI opener. No listing at all. Lot's of mojo in these boats, too.

If you need a demo ride, and are around Appleton, give me a shout.

there's some good pics and info available at the Tuffy website here:
http://www.tuffyboats.com/boats/1890

runs fast, tons of interior space/fishability, more storage than even a muskie fisherman is able to fill, and with a 96" beam the boat fishes rock-solid stable.
i can fit 8' rods in the tubes with about 6-7" to spare.
