Spoke with DougJ over the internet recently and his report is that LOW water level at this time goes all the way to the surface, and he expects it to stay at that level at least through early summer, and more than likely, continually, from now on.

I also expect the water to remain level, as it rarely tilts too much.

It's unknown if July levels will be near normal. Sort of asking if it's going to rain lots. No one knows!

For the 100th time here's a web site that has as much information as there is anywhere on LOTWs water levels.

http://www.lwcb.ca/

Go to the "notice board" listing to get a quick up-date on current levels and the current discharge rate. Click on basin data to find out about every thing there is to know about the water levels on the LOTWs and many other NW Ontario lakes. These pages will tell what levels currently are, "LOTWs graph", what they where for the past 86 years "historic graphs page", and the potential forecasts for the future "water level and flow bulletin".

If you really want to know what's going on and what the LOTWs control board does and how they react to changing conditions and different demands read through both "balancing the interests" and "board description". If you study all the things that are available in this site you will know a lot about the LOTWs water levels.

Just looking at what I see so far, I would guess it'll still be low in July, but only Mother Nature know for sure.
