Posts: 1243 Location: Musky Tackle Online, MN | What kind of water clarity are you looking at? For me, water clarity/color plays a much bigger factor than the forage base when I'm choosing bucktail colors. I'm a bigger fan of the unpainted blades than the painted blades when it comes to the Double Cowgirls. I just like the flash that the nickel or brass blades throw off. Aaron | ||

But color is not as important as the VIBRATION....... You have to BURN these babies fast .......... And I mean Fast,... It drives lethargic muskies into a stupid reaction strike. Cow Girls also have Great Hooking abilities. Oh and it helps if you have some Pipes, After throwing this lure for 8-10 hrs. your arms are like rubber if your not used to it ( always remember to save your arm for lifting Brews at the end of the day) Have fun, and nail a big one. Posts: 1243 Location: Musky Tackle Online, MN | For very clear water, I would definitely go with two nickel blades. From there, I would choose a color that you think you'll have the most confidence in. All of the Double Cowgirls that I've seen with the Double Nickels should be good clear water producers.
