Posts: 16632 Location: The desert | From some of the reports I got the WI River around this area wasnt too hot. Earlier in the week the fish were snapping pretty good. I missed 2 nice fish Monday and heard of 4 fish caught tuesday night. None were caught by me. For once I actually have to study for finals so I havent had a ton of time to fish.

Posts: 1316 Location: Madison, WI | Got out on Okauchee Saturday with muskylund1, we raised 5 fish and Tom caught a couple of pike. I raised a lower 40" fish in shallow weeds early in the morning, then about 3 hours later, raised a monster well above 45" on another shallow weed edge. Fish were pretty slow to act, they would just show up and stare. Still was fun to see a big fish!

Location: Athens, Ohio | Mauser and I hit the New River in West Va. for smallmouth last Friday. He got a nice 18 incher. A real surprise, we boated 16 striped bass, a couple over 20 inches. They fought great. Good break, going to the small baits for a day! m

Posts: 2691 Location: Pewaukee, Wisconsin | Fishing was slow on Pewaukee Lake also. Milwaukee Chapter of Muskie Inc had our anual Pewaukee Classic. Eighty some people signed up and fished Saturday. I fished with Mike Phelps, aka "ESfishOX". Mike had a 40-incher come up and smack his bait early Saturday morning but no hooks stuck. The fish just bumped the bait but gave us a great look at her. I got a 39-incher an hour later that was still all beat up from the spawn. Two more shortys and a few bass was my catch for the day. We had over a dozen follows but no more fish. 7 fish were caught out of the group who fished. 40.5 was the largest and 39.5 was good for 2nd place. My 39-incher took 3rd place. Great fund raiser, food, door prizes and fun. $50 bucks get you a hat, dinner, and door prizes. Always the second weekend in May on Pewaukee.

Posts: 166 Location: Gurnee, Illinois | I got a 30" & a 36" from the beautiful Illinois Chain O Lakes. Lost a third and saw several other fish. Good day for the chain, jetskiers are already out. Won't be long before Crocket and Tubbs are cruisin around at 70 mph. Dave

Posts: 474 | Finally got the new boat a proper slime this weekend. I went 4 for 6 trolling, two small fish a 40" and a personal best 48"er on Saturday. On Thursday a crew from our MI chapter aided our NJ DFW shock and rescue 21 muskies and over 50 walleye that washed over the dam and into the small river outlet. Low water and summer temps would spell doom for those fish so they were relocated back into the main lake. I guess a little musky karma helps the fisherman, pretty darn good week! Posts: 3867 | Way to go Kevin! Very cool. My 14y/o daughter and I stumbled across some walleyes, she boated a 31" and me a 28". Her's is going on the wall and I released my fish. Check it out - she was using a 4'6" Diawa ultralite with a little Pinnacle Ice spinning reel loaded with 4# superline. Took her 10 minutes to get the fish to start to come off the bottom in 25' of water, then another 5 minutes of bringing her up. I'm so proud. Let's see if I can post a pic here....
