Ok, so the REAL opener isn't for a few weeks , but the walleye/pike opener was this weekend and needless to say, a good time was had by all. Guided a Father and 2 sons on Sat. and had Tawni and her boys out Sunday.Their choice not mine. I know, fishing on Mothers Day.I'm a lucky man. Clients had 28 up to 26" and we had 9 yesterday up to 26 1/2" in a few hours. Mille Lacs slot is under 20" and 1 over 28".Lots of 22-25" fish.Lindy rigs and leeches in 17-25'. The look on the kids faces tells it all. Steve

Sounds like fun Steve, and you are a lucky man spending Mother's Day on the water.

In two weeks you will be so much happier though!

Smiling faces all around...funny what bending a rod will do to people.

Ah yes, a bend in the rod and smiles all around!! I'm not sure who was more anxious for Steve to get out fishing, me or him....it was a long winter!! Just kidding hun. The new ride was great, the company was even better and I have to say this was probably my best Mothers Day yet. Thanks Steve for taking us out, putting us on some fish and for the wonderful memories!!! Now bring on June!!!!!
