I am sitting here living vicariously through all of you because for the first time since I was 13 I don't own a boat. I don't think I will make it the whole year without one. I look longingly at this pic from last year, ah those were the days.

Pete

Apparently I am also a retard, I couldn't load the pic

Crap, I have a boat and no way to get it to the lake as I can't drive due to my limited vision. So I know how you feel.

Hey it could be worse! I have no boat and no vehicle! Not sure where you guys live but go pick up some waders and do some shore fishing, if there is a local river that has muskies in it finding a dam is a good place to start! Last year 3 of my 9 muskies came from a boat. All the rest were caught from shore. So dont let boatless be an excuse to stop fishing.

In '05 I had found myself without a boat, the first time since I was 16 years old which I think was back in the 1800's. I was a boat slut for almost 2 years and started borrowing my brother's boat last fall which I have recently purchased. It is nice to have a boat again.

I'm with pointer, I catch fish every year from shore, it can be a lot cheaper alternative to having a boat. It makes follows even more exciting when you are in the water with the fish!!

Griz,

It sounds like you and guest should team up as fishing partners...

Still headed to northern MN?

Make sure you let me know if you are and we will get out on Leech this summer.

Hopefully give your new sticks a workout.

I have a boat, vehicle to pull it, but no tackle box. See my lost box thread: http://muskie.outdoorsfirst.com/board/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=34...

I know this really does not compare, but thought I'd chime in.

I have a ton of gear and a truck to pull a boat but I don't have a boat because I don't have a place to keep one. Being boatless DOES suck. BAD...

I fish a lot thanks to the generosity of my friends here at Muskiefirst, but hving to rely on someone else to take me fishing? Man that blows. I hate to have to rely on anyone else for anything. Always feel like in the back fo their head they're thinking "buy a BOAT already you %$&*"...

Zachary -- man, I can't believe your stuff could just fly out of the boat, you sure someone didn't swipe it?

I got divorced and had to sell my baby last fall. I miss her dearly (The boat that is). So, this year is my first without a boat in almost 10 years. Next year it is a new boat!! If anyone wants to offer up a trip on Okauchee or Oconomowoc, I would be willing to offer up gas money and/or some lures. Let me know. chad muskie metal lures

Pete, I'd be in Madison WI. Didn't realize that I wasn't logged in. I normally fire up the browser and I'm logged in. Not sure what happened there.

Next couple of weeks I'm busy (including a week long trip to Canada for eyes), but many of my June is open.

I was boatless for most of last year. I was a big slut, and I must say, I did enjoy it immensly! But I also am very glad to have my new Tuffy this year. Was well worth the wait.
