I used to have red hands... green hands... pruned hands... looked like a peed myself at the end of a day. Then I switched to Spiderwire Stealth. My thumb gets a little black, but that'll happen on all line... and this stuff holds very little water, which I like a lot... keeps your topwaters on top... and your clothes dry.

Reelman,
I never had a problem with spiderwire, even when it first come out that's why i still use it., I believe people who told me about the line cutting their guides were like the old Chevy/ford people. you know what i mean, My trucks better than your truck,, third grade stuff. i use what i like and what works for me.

Tiger, When you track most of these stories they starts something like this: "I heard from my brothers, fater in laws, nephews, uncles, 2nd cousin"

In response to colored lines and visibility - I take my favorite colored sharpie permanent marker and color whatever length of line you want above the leader(usually some sort of green). I don't think the whole spool needs colored as muskies arent looking at 20 yards of line in the water. The idea is to make the first few feet more camoflouged. Then you can use any kind of line without color added to it that you want. Plus every time you want to retie you just add a little color and you have fresh color every time, never fades - unless you never retie - or never get to go fishing! This also helps you from having to go to longer leaders in clearer water for finicky fish.
