What water temp do you think night feeding picks up in the Spring?

I really don't see night feeding as temperature dependent.

first six feet..you are saying you don't see water temps as being something that changes feeding levels/activity?
I would disagree.

Thats not quite what firstsixfeet said. And I agree with him. If fish are gonna eat at night, they're gonna eat at night. I'll be fishing well into the night right from the opener here. If your lake gets alot of boat traffic/fishing pressure I would try now if your season is open.
Temps may change how much they eat, or where they'll eat,etc..... But I think the fish that eat at night eat then for a reason, and I dont believe temp is the reason.

the original post asked when it "picks up".
surely higher water temps will mean fish will eat more. so in turn, night feeding more will occur.
yes fish eat at nite in 40 degree temsp and 75, but imo, once you get above 65 your chances are better with contacting fish at night.
imo.

I fish south east WI and these lakes get pounded. I like to fish at night most of the season but it seems to produce more when the water skiers are out in full force. So I would say water temp makes a diferance, warmer water = water skiers during the day = fish prefer to feed at night.

Night fishing before the spawn, (water temps under the mid 50's) has proved pointless for me. With over 100 hrs trying it something should have happened! When the water hits 60 game-on! and the can be caught at night right up to freeze.
