Posts: 284 | Is this the type of lake you drive around the whole thing throwing at the shoreline? I imagine you could cover the whole thing in a couple hours

Posts: 80 Location: Waukesha, WI | Will say that the lake does hold some nice skis. Most come from Okauchee or Oconomowoc. Not terribly hard to fish but can be slow. Weeds are the main thing here, they get thick, and big weed beds. Some big bass, little gils, a lot of pike. More info but I cant say, do some research on the web and you'll find out more. Here is a fish from last sept. Attachments ---------------- 37e27c6079e8862b69bd93ad34fe727b.jpg (29KB - 232 downloads)

Posts: 284 | I apologize for aggravating anybody and will be sure to not ask requests for spots on lakes ever again. I didn't know that this was such a sensitive subject. Musky fisherman consistently stock fish and do research on fisheries to improve fishing for all. If discussing the lakes that may have the fish we are all here to pursue causes grief to many of you I regret making this post. What I don't understand is that by making this post I have not created more musky fisherman. I have just broadened their fishable lakes. This only reduces pressure on other neighboring lakes that I am sure all of you that are pissed off at me fish as well. If those neighboring lakes (that produce better) receive less pressure than they become more enjoyable. Had I asked where to fish on Pewaukee would it have still been the same mistake? Or no because it is quite obvious that their are fish in Pewaukee?

![]() Posts: 412 Location: Waukesha, WI | as I was reading through this thread, I too thought there are plenty who ask for assistance if not public through PMs. Is this a Lake X? Not in my mind. I used to fish this lake years ago for stocked trout. I recall a thread about how a lake would be broken down, part 3 or something. Was it ridiculed? No. Lake name mentioned? No (well, sort of). Perhaps it was just the way the question was asked. Edit: Threads that may be of value to you. http://muskie.outdoorsfirst.com/board/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=32... http://muskie.outdoorsfirst.com/board/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=31... Posts: 32955 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | ghitierman, Let 'em complain. Crocodile Dundee, paraphrased: 'Rude people arguing over who owns the lake is like fleas arguing over who owns the dog they are on' The lake was there before the J's were alive. It will be there when they are gone. It will be managed for Muskies, and the population will do just fine. More folks will learn about CPR, and more fish will be CPR'd. Folks who discovered the lake (even on the 'internet') will come and go, and some days it might be busy there. Enjoy our public resource, ghiterman, and don't let those who find it necessary to be rude, untoward, and judgmental just because they are sitting behind a monitor bother that quest.

| Dad (BigO) and I fished it couple of times....lots of actions from some pretty decent fish. Grandmas did well very well along with Trout colored Ernies ( since theres a decent trout pop. in Fowler )...did well setting perpendicular to the weed line and casting out into the open water | |||

Posts: 284 | I heard something about casting the board walk. I know when I get to the lake I will be able to see where this is but I have never been there befor. I am trying to plan out a "milk run" befor I go so I can hit it and quit it on opening day. Then hit up some of the other lakes near by. Dare I say there names. Ah Hell I have been convinced by the moderators of this board that I have done nothing wrong. I am going to okauchee and Occonomowoc as well and maybe one right above the dam. So any way what side of the lake is the board walk on?

Posts: 2691 Location: Pewaukee, Wisconsin | ghitierman, good choices. Occonomowoc will be packed because of the muskie in the river everyone is watching, the launch was full today. You will not need much of a game plan with Fowler. You will have it covered in a morning, then Occonomowoc and Okauchee is is so close. Just above the dam is good also.

Posts: 15 | I fish this lake a lot, all through the summer and fall in fact. Had some of my best days out here, never a bad one. These fish see a lot of baits and will show themselves to you a lot, however, it's the getting them to eat that's the hard part. Fish trout colors and you'll be in the money.
