My Dad had a Motorguide Tour with a Gator Mount II. This year he bought a Terrova. When we took off the Motorguide the carpet underneath is all matted down and is stained black in spots. The Terrova mounting bracket is wider than the Gator, but is about 6" shorter. So the ugly stained carpet, and two holes that were needed to mount the Gator won't get covered up by the Terrova.

I was just wondering if anyone has a good, inexpensive, eye appealing way to cover those imperfections up?

Any ideas would greatly be appreciated.

Mike M.

I don't know about the holes, but for the carpet, take a stiff old hair brush and lift up the pile. Then, use Resolve carpet cleaner on the spots with a clean rag. Let dry, and work the pile back up again with the brush.

Resolve or Spot Shot carpet cleaner have worked great for me and as far as the holes I am thinking they are just 3/8 or so holes I would put stainless bolts with stainless finish washers back in them and nut them down, it will look fine.
