Hey gang,

A couple of months ago I contacted Iwata-Medea, the company who makes the airbrushes and compressors I use and showed them some photos of my baits.
I was extremely surprised when the companies vice president contacted me asking if I would be willing to do some articles on the various techniques used to paint them.

The resulting articles are now online on their website and can be seen by following the link below. The articles start with the basics and then the last lesson is the Bluegill which gets into some more advanced techniques. Hope you enjoy them.

By the way, I'm sure that any number of you could have also done the same as there is no lack of talent on this forum. Most of you have motivated me to keep on learning so I don't get left behind! There's no resting on your laurels in this business!

Thanks for sharing. This gave me some great visuals along with the pointers on "how to". Very nicely done.

Thanks for that Snax. I'm very much a beginner when it comes to airbrushing so those articles should come in handy. That photo of the finished Walleye is incredible but once you break it down into the individual painting steps it seems (almost) achievable. I may well give it a go, taking it step by step and see what happens.

I'm glad it's proving helpful to some of you. Anything is achievable (well almost) if you have the basics and build from there. There's no big secrets to getting good results, just a lot of practice and dedication. I still work on basic strokes and try to learn as many new techniques as I can.
