Anybody have the Lakewood Musky Medium tackle box and how do ya like it? How many baits does this thing hold? I would mostly be putting in small/big bucktails, big bulldawgs and other medium to large baits. Also, where would be the cheapest place to order one at? Thanks for any info!

justin i dont know how many baits fit in there but it does hold alot....you can also put 2 small plano boxes on the sides....i have 2 of them and like them alot, they are alot easier to lug around vs a monster box. and take up alot less space. im not sure if muskytackleonline.com carries them but id try him first for good pricing.

i have one, lots of room. i think i have 35-40 baits in there right now, everything from 13" believers to a baby wabull, and there's plenty of room for more

You should be able to get 48 hard baits in it and room for 8 big spinnerbaits in the middle. I keep my bucktails in a 3600 Plano in one end pocket and smaller spinnerbaits in a tackle logic bag in the other. There is also plenty of room in the pockets for a few jigs, your extra leaders, and what ever else you need. I can fish out of mine for two weeks in Canada in the summer and still only use half of what is in there! Also, the pockets on the front keep your tools organized and out of the way.

I just picked up a Lakewood Musky Medium a few days ago. I have a total of 17 baits hanging on the left or right side, 8 medium sized bucktails in the middle front row, and one M/G and one regular Bulldawg in the middle back row.
A total of 27 baits, and there is a LOT of room left. I only have one bait handing in several compartments, and you could fit at least two baits in each compartment unless you are tailking about bulky baits or baits with big lips. It's a little crowded, but you can get three baits in a compartment if you are talking baits like Suicks, tail rotators, walk the dog baits, etc.

I would say you could easily fit 50 baits in there, and maybe 60 or more if you organized it right, and didn't have too many big bulky baits.

The material sewn on the front does a good job of holding release tools, there is a clear section sewn on the top for stuff like lake maps, and the pockets on the sides measure about 13x9 and have a lot of room for extra hooks, leaders, spools of line. I suppose they would hold a Plano box if you use them too.

I'll attach (hopefully) a couple pictures to give you an idea.

I think the size of this box is just about right to have in the boat. I certainly won't ususally need more than 50 baits, even on a big trip. the box isn't so big that it will take up a lot of room either. It's nice that the inside of the box is white so it's easy to find baits in there. I paid $99.99 for mine at Gander, but I think it might have been a box from last year or something. The other Mediums were $119.99.

I haven't had it in the boat yet but I like it quite a bit! Zippers all seem to work well, everything seems solid.

Oh, it looks like I had 16 baits in the sides for my picture, not 17. But now I found two more to make it 18 and don't really notice a difference.

Just to try, I put an 8" Jake, a Pacemaker, and a Jointed ShallowRaider all in one compartment. I can't guarantee only one will come out at a time, but if you need to really cram baits in there for a trip, you should be able to fit nearly 50 baits in just the two sides, not to mention the large center part that works well for bulky baits.

Anyway, I like it if you can't tell. Let me know if you need more pictures or anything.

Cool! Thanks for the pics. Now i will have to try to find someone around here that carrys lakewoods so that i can see them first hand. From the looks of your pics, it looks like a very nice box. A big selling point for me is the zippered storage that the lakewoods have for cameras, tools, etc. The big Plano box that i got now has no sides. Thanks again for the pics!
