What do I do with these bucktails (have several Windel Harassers) or spinnerbaits that the hair is almost gone? IMO, not enough hair left to throw the bait?

Thanks.

You have 6 choices.

1) keep using them

2) keep them and not use them

3) try to sell them

4) give them away

5) throw them away

6) cut them apart and save the hardware off them you can use to make other bucktails.

Or find someone that ties flies or bucktails and have them re-do the ones you have. A trout guy in my office re-did a few for another friend, and they looked fine. Or do it yourself.

If you don't make bucktails yourself, you could probably send them to somebody who does and they could rebuild them for you (new hair and wire and whatever else they need). Or you could probably order some pre-tied coils(not sure how the harassers are built), wire and a round nose piers from somewhere like Moore's and reassemble them yourself.

Hope this helps, feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

You can also purchase Windel's replacement tails. Not available for spinnerbaits but no problem for the bucktails. For a few dollars your bait will be like new.
Here's a link http://www.muskyshop.com/modules/cart/products.php/keys/Windel%5C%2...
You may also want to try contacting Mark directly for retying on the spinnerbaits. Or as some other have said it may be time to retire those and invest in some new ones. Good luck.

Either do what these guys said or send them to me. Seriously, I'll take them off your hands.
