Location: Bemidji, MN | what are you guys using to bend wire bigger than .051? I have the Hagens bender but that is the max it will handle. I did see one modified to bend bigger stuff once, but I can't for the life of me remmeber how the guy did it. |

| Right now I bend my .062" with a needle nose vise grip and a linemans pliers.

Location: nationwide | For both .051 and .062 wire I use large round nosed pliers and fingers, but I don't make very many lures.

| I had a bender custom made my some machinist buddies of mine. Basically, just a Boggs/Hagens beefed up to handle the bigger stuff.
Though with wire bigger than .051", you are still going to have to do a fair amount by hand. The results are almost better that way anyway |

| My brother and my dad made a bender that will handle the light bucktail stuff to the .078 wire for my giant cranks. Nobody would be able to tell what it is mounted on some scrap 4x4.

Location: Bemidji, MN | What guage spokes are you using? 14 or 15? I ask cuz I work at a bike shop, so I know where to find a few spokes. |

| I use a custom made bender, works up to 0.092" wire. It has 4 different holes so it can be adjusted for various wire diameters.
There’s instructions on building your own wire bending jig here:

Location: The Sportsman, home, or out on the water | i do not know what gauge spokes I use. I just take the old shaft to the bike shop with a micrometer, and match up what I need. |
